Marketing has ceased to be an activity of drudgery once I have been to the Central Market. Everything looks absolutely fresh, succulent, wonderfully tempting, and banishes the (un)domestic spirit lurking within my persona (ha). Vegetables, fruits, poultry, dairy, pastries, bread, nuts, and seafood all abound.
And here’s a tip: Be there between Saturdays 12:00-3:00 pm when shops are on the brink of week’s closing. You cannot even begin to imagine how low prices can drop; but just to give you an idea, 1kg of grapes can be had for AUD$1!
